We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.C.S. Lewis
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.James 1:2-4
Who has given counsel to the Lord? Behold Our God, Sovereign Grace Music
Who can question any of His words?
Who can teach the One who knows all things?
Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds?
Teach me to feel that Thou art always nigh;George Croly
teach me the struggles of the soul to bear.
To check the rising doubt, the rebel sigh,
teach me the patience of unanswered prayer.

I’m working on a book project for my image making class where we have to choose an object that is mass manufactured and produce about 100 images of our objects themselves, in use, in production, etc. I chose lipstick and today we started the photography chapter of the class. I had a lot of fun taking these self portraits albeit I felt a little silly taking them! I’m hoping that over the next week or two I can photograph some of my friends & studio mates to include in the project and I’m excited to attempt some abstract, less connotative photographs.
